If impromptu living room performances were an Olympic sport, Teacher Mansha would have medaled by age seven. Growing up in Southern California, she's been dancing, singing, and practicing theatrics since she could walk, starting with a decade of tap classes and continuing through high school and college dance teams and street fair singing performances, the arts has always managed to entrance her. She aims to bring that same magic to Bay Area kids!
In addition to Western styles, Mansha also studied Indian classical music, playing the harmonium and speaking/singing in 4 different languages: English, Punjabi, Hindi, and Urdu. Her diverse musical journey has helped her reconnect with their cultural roots and shaped her belief that music belongs to everyone. Mansha's classes are built around that core value—welcoming caretakers and their kiddos of all backgrounds to show up, be themselves, and rediscover their natural musicality (with a healthy dose of silliness along the way).
After earning an MBA from Boston University with an emphasis in Social Impact, Mansha found the perfect blend of creativity and strategy in her dual role as teacher and marketing manager at Music Together of San Francisco. She was a lecturer for undergraduates at BU on team building and inclusivity, and her mission-driven approach puts uplifting the community at the forefront of her passion.
“My teaching style is fun, inclusive, authentic, cozy, and all about connection. I want every single little and big person in class to feel that they belong in music. We’re all meant to be musical. My job is just to help you remember that.”
