Lillian was raised without formal music education but with a family who valued music and fun that would spend hours singing songs together by the campfire. Now, she is studying Bassoon Performance at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, and believes in the power of learning through play, especially for young children. She is also passionate about teaching, and has spent countless hours babysitting, tutoring, and teaching private lessons. 

“I really hope that with my classes, I can help children and adults alike to enjoy music without trying to achieve any performance goal. I think it’s much more important that people can find a safe environment to make music than anything else. My teaching style centers on building a culture where people feel comfortable joining in, even if it means making some mistakes along the way.”
