Callie Mescher

Originally from a small town of 2,000 people in northeastern Iowa, Callie Mescher is new to the Bay Area and very excited to be joining the Music Together® family. She has played many diverse roles in the lives of children including a three year nanny, a k-12 music teacher, a private voice and piano teacher, a camp counselor for children with special needs, and a swim-team coach.

She holds a BA in Music Education and Vocal Performance and plans to attend graduate school for Music Therapy. She is always looking for an opportunity to perform, meet new people, and grow. Being outdoors, playing volleyball, watersports, snowboarding, tennis, and singing are among her favorite things to do. The philosophies of Music Together line up identically with her beliefs in a child’s development and growth, but mostly importantly, she is ready to bring her energy to the kids and have a good time!

“Although I hold a degree in music, it wasn’t until I started nannying that I first learned of Music Together. I instantly fell in love with the program and knew I wanted to be more exposed to it. In my classes I strive for a very carefree, comfortable and safe environment. The bottom line is to be able to enjoy the little moments as well as to take part in the silliness with your child. I feel that kids are such great reminders of the important things in life. While at Music Together, I’d love for the adults to feel the trust factor, to just let go and jump in! Although the innate musicality of children impresses me greatly, more than anything, children learn from modelling. It is my goal to emphasize patience, creativity, and fun in each class that I hold.”
